About Us
Urban Arch Studio (UAS) is a multidisciplinary architecture and design firm based in Mumbai and with its branch at Ranchi. We are a team of young, creative, enthusiastic and ambitious architects who hold a strong belief in transforming any space that is tailored to meet the requirements of its end users. We undertake projects ranging from Interior Design, Architecture, Urban Design to Master Planning, Interior and Architectural Photography. We as designers believe in creating innovative solutions to make optimum use of spaces that are eco-friendly, thereby addressing the sustainability factor that is the need of the hour. We constantly challenge ourselves to design each project by maintaining a balance between functionality, aesthetics, climate, material, cost & time-frame.
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECTS
Utkarsh D. Raipat
Utkarsh is a practicing architect, founder, principal at Urban Arch Studio. Being exposed to the family business of construction since a young age he always aspired to be an architect and contribute his creativity towards the betterment of our society. His passion for architecture led him to join Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur and later complete his degree from L.S. Raheja School of Architecture, Mumbai. Thereafter, he worked with the well-known Activist & Architect P.K. Das in Mumbai, where he worked on a variety of architecture, urban design and master planning projects. Shortly thereafter he established Urban Arch Studio together with Sonali. His interest includes but not limited to architecture design, interior, urban design and photography. He believes in creating sustainable solutions and eco-friendly designs that respond to the client’s aspirations.
Sonali Upasani
Sonali is a practicing architect, urban researcher and co-founder at Urban Arch Studio. Since a very young age, she was always interested in ancient historical civilizations around the world and its modern adaptation in the present context. Her passion for understanding these civilizations and traveling encouraged her in pursuing a degree in architecture from L.S. Raheja School of Architecture. During her college days, she was always passionate about creating sustainable architecture and communities that positively respond to the environment and its end users. She has an avid interest in designing sustainable urban neighborhoods, landscape, research and photography. Her passion for understanding cities’ fabric and its issues paved her way into pursuing a master’s in urban design from oxford brooks university, UK. She has experience in high rise residential architecture, master planning, interior design and research work.
